'iterator' is an open-form composition in which (lack of) pulse and space, and extreme restrictions in sonic material, are explored. This version was performed live at Unit 44 in Dublin as part of the Reception series of concerts.Recorded direct from Max 01/05/22 Reception @ Unit 44. 'eolith' is the result of a live collaborative performance between Phil Maguire and Matt Atkins that took part on the opening night of the latter's exhibition at Hundred Years Gallery in May '22. An exploration of texture, space, surface imperfections and liminal sound events, the performance is a perfect sonic counterpart to the visual work on show.Matt Atkins - tapes, objects, percussion

konkret finds matthijs kouw and phil maguire returning to the restrained, slow-burning terrain they explored on 2021's 'isometry'.drawn from modular synthesizer improvisations recorded in 2022 and later shaped individually, the two pieces on konkret are built from patient contours, soft resonances, and small shifts in texture, establishing structures in which to dwell.modulor takes its cue from le corbusier’s eponymous theory of measured proportions, unfolding as a slow calibration of tone and space. 4x4 house echoes ando’s disciplined geometry, letting its form emerge through restraint, repetition, and spare gestures to sketch out a quiet frame.modulor - matthijs kouw
