modulor/4x4 house

matthijs and phil continue their explorations of sound and modernist architecture from 2021's isometry with two more works. the working title is modulor/4x4 house.
in spring 2022 the pair recorded a number of improvisations at matthijs' old house in utrecht province, the netherlands, and each created a piece from these recordings in 2023. the album is a pair of works that illustrate their pair's shared and distinct voices; two masses of sound that blend and diverge, examining space and material.
